Fermenter
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004376
A bioreactor designed to provide an optimal environment for microbial growth and metabolic activity, facilitating the process of fermentation. It controls parameters such as temperature, pH, aeration, and nutrient supply to maximize the yield of desired products. These vessels range in size from small laboratory flasks to large industrial tanks, often equipped with agitation systems and sensors.
