Bond-energy-bond-order method

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001424

A semi-empirical method used in chemical kinetics to estimate potential energy surfaces for chemical reactions, particularly for bond breaking and formation processes. It relates bond energies to bond orders, allowing for the calculation of activation energies and reaction pathways. This method is often applied to gas-phase reactions involving free radicals.
