Breeching

A duct or conduit that connects the outlet of a combustion appliance, such as a furnace or boiler, to a chimney or stack. Its purpose is to safely convey combustion gases and particulate matter away from the appliance. Breeching must be properly sealed and insulated to prevent heat loss and the escape of harmful fumes.
