Bypass injector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001552
A component in chromatography that allows a sample to be introduced into the mobile phase stream without interrupting the continuous flow of the carrier gas or eluent through the column. The sample is loaded into a loop, and then a valve switches the flow path to direct the mobile phase through the loop, sweeping the sample onto the column. This design minimizes pressure fluctuations and maintains stable flow conditions.
