Clean up
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002110
The process of removing interfering substances or matrix components from a sample prior to analysis, to isolate the analyte of interest. This step is performed to improve the accuracy, precision, and sensitivity of the analytical measurement by reducing background noise and preventing interferences. Common methods include solid-phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, or precipitation.
