Co-oligomerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002550
An oligomerization in which two or more different monomers react to give a co-oligomer, a short chain containing units from each of them. The composition and chain length depend on the feed ratio, the relative reactivities of the monomers and the catalyst, and the product is often a mixture of chains of different length. The properties of a co-oligomer change measurably when one unit is added or removed, which distinguishes it from a copolymer.
