Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002179

A non-linear spectroscopic technique that generates a coherent anti-Stokes Raman signal by exciting molecular vibrations with two or more laser beams. The signal is produced at a frequency shifted from the pump beam by the vibrational frequency of the molecule. This method offers high spatial resolution and is used for label-free chemical imaging in biological samples.
