Collection efficiency

The fraction of airborne particles or gaseous pollutants that are captured by a sampling device or removal system, relative to the total amount entering the system. This metric quantifies the effectiveness of air pollution control equipment, such as filters or scrubbers. It is expressed as a percentage or a decimal between 0 and 1.
