Combined rotation and multiple pulse spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002273
A solid-state NMR method that combines magic-angle spinning with a multiple-pulse sequence such as MREV-8 or BR-24 to give high-resolution spectra of abundant nuclei with a large gyromagnetic ratio, mainly 1H and 19F. The pulse sequence averages the homonuclear dipolar coupling in spin space while the rotation averages the remaining anisotropic interactions. It differs from plain magic-angle spinning, which suffices for dilute spins such as 13C but cannot remove the strong 1H dipolar broadening.
