Concentration-response relationship

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002368

The association between the concentration of a substance and the proportion of an exposed population that shows a defined effect, such as an all-or-none response like death. It is usually plotted as a sigmoid curve against the logarithm of concentration, and values such as the EC50 or LC50 are read from it. It differs from the concentration-effect relationship, which follows the graded size of a response.
