Continuous extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002494

A method where a fresh portion of extracting solvent is continuously brought into contact with the sample, or where the extracting solvent is continuously recycled through the sample. This technique is particularly effective for extracting analytes with low solubility in the extracting solvent. Soxhlet extraction is a common example of this process.
