Cord blood

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012999

The blood that remains in the placenta and the attached umbilical cord after childbirth. This blood is a rich source of hematopoietic stem cells, which are multipotent cells capable of differentiating into all types of blood cells.
