Cut-off filter

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002804

An optical filter that transmits light above a certain wavelength and absorbs or reflects light below that wavelength. These filters are characterized by their cut-off wavelength, which defines the transition point between transmission and blocking. They are commonly used in spectroscopy and photography to isolate specific spectral regions.
