Dechlorinated water

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002897

Water from which chlorine and its compounds, such as chloramines, have been removed. This process is often necessary for aquatic toxicity testing and maintaining sensitive aquatic organisms, as chlorine is highly toxic to many species. Common dechlorination methods include aeration, activated carbon filtration, or the addition of chemical reducing agents like sodium thiosulfate.
