Decussate

To cross or intersect in the form of an X. In neuroanatomy, this describes the crossing of nerve fiber tracts from one side of the central nervous system to the other. For example, the optic chiasm is the point where nerve fibers from the nasal half of each retina decussate to the opposite side of the brain.
