Decoupling in the presence of scalar interactions
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013020
A family of composite-pulse sequences, abbreviated DIPSI, used in NMR to create isotropic mixing in TOCSY experiments, so that magnetization spreads among all mutually coupled spins of a spin system regardless of their offsets. The sequences work efficiently over large spectral bandwidths, and DIPSI-2 is a widely used variant for homonuclear mixing. They differ from continuous-wave irradiation, which is the older way of decoupling a single coupled nucleus.
