Dendrite

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002988

A tree-like or fern-like crystalline growth pattern that forms during the solidification of a polymer from a melt or solution. This morphology results from anisotropic growth rates, where crystal growth is favored along specific crystallographic directions. Dendrites are commonly observed in semicrystalline polymers and can influence mechanical properties.
