Double-negative cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003414
A type of T lymphocyte precursor cell found in the thymus that lacks both the CD4 and CD8 co-receptor proteins on its surface. These cells represent an early stage of T cell development before commitment to either the helper or cytotoxic T cell lineage. They undergo further differentiation and selection processes within the thymus.
