Electron acceptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003704
A chemical species capable of accepting one or more electrons from another species. This process results in the reduction of the electron acceptor and the oxidation of the electron donor. Electron acceptors are often Lewis acids, as they can accept electron pairs to form new bonds.
