Encapsulating emulsion polymerisation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003874

An emulsion polymerization technique designed to form polymer particles that encapsulate other materials, such as pigments, active ingredients, or other polymer particles. This process typically involves the controlled addition of monomers and initiators around a pre-existing core material in an aqueous emulsion. It is used to create composite materials with tailored properties, including controlled release systems and advanced coatings.
