Forward chaining

A reasoning strategy in artificial intelligence where an inference engine starts with known facts and applies inference rules to deduce new conclusions. This process continues until a goal is reached or no further rules can be applied. It is a data-driven approach, contrasting with backward chaining which is goal-driven.
