Generator coupling efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004827
The effectiveness with which energy from a radiofrequency generator is transferred to the plasma in an inductively coupled plasma (ICP) system. It quantifies the proportion of the applied power that is actually absorbed by the plasma, rather than being reflected back to the generator. High coupling efficiency is desirable for stable plasma operation and optimal analytical performance.
