Geometric mean
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004853
A type of average that indicates the central tendency of a set of numbers by multiplying them together and then taking the nth root, where n is the count of the numbers in the set. This measure is particularly useful for data sets that exhibit exponential growth or are multiplicative in nature. It is often applied to ratios or rates.
