Glaucoma
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004899
A group of eye conditions that result in progressive damage to the nerve connecting the eye to the brain, leading to irreversible vision loss. This damage is frequently associated with an increase in intraocular pressure caused by inadequate drainage of aqueous humor, the fluid inside the eye. Diagnosis involves measuring intraocular pressure, with normal values typically ranging from 10 to 21 mmHg.
