Hybridization assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005443
An analytical method that detects specific nucleotide sequences (DNA or RNA) by exploiting their ability to form stable double-stranded complexes with complementary probe sequences. A labeled probe binds to its target sequence, and the resulting hybrid is then detected. This technique is widely used in molecular biology for genetic testing, pathogen detection, and gene expression analysis.
