Complementary DNA
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002317
A deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecule synthesized from a messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) template using the enzyme reverse transcriptase. It lacks the introns present in genomic DNA and represents only the coding regions of a gene. Complementary DNA is widely used in gene cloning and expression studies.
