Gene library
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004809
A collection of cloned DNA fragments, representing the entire genome of an organism or a specific subset of its genes, stored in a host organism like bacteria or yeast. Each clone contains a different segment of the original DNA, allowing researchers to isolate and study individual genes. There are two main types: genomic libraries and cDNA libraries.
