Gene manipulation

The direct alteration of an organism's genetic material using biotechnology techniques, often referred to as genetic engineering. This involves isolating, modifying, and reintroducing genes into an organism to change its characteristics or produce desired products. Techniques include recombinant DNA technology, gene editing, and gene therapy.
