Hypersensitivity pneumonitis

An inflammatory lung disease caused by an immune response to inhaled organic antigens, such as mold spores, bacterial products, or animal proteins. Repeated exposure to these antigens leads to inflammation of the alveoli and small airways. This condition is also known as extrinsic allergic alveolitis.
