Immunocomplex

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005660

A molecular assembly formed by the specific, non-covalent binding of an antibody to an antigen. This interaction typically involves multiple binding sites, leading to a stable complex. The formation of an immunocomplex is a key event in many immunological assays, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).
