Induced abortion

The deliberate termination of a pregnancy before the fetus has attained viability, resulting in its death. This procedure is distinct from a spontaneous abortion, or miscarriage, which is the unintended loss of a pregnancy. Induced abortions are performed through medical means, using drugs like mifepristone, or through surgical procedures.
