Integrin
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005918
A family of transmembrane receptor proteins that mediate cell-extracellular matrix and cell-cell adhesion. These heterodimeric proteins consist of alpha and beta subunits, playing a role in cell signaling, migration, and tissue organization. Integrins are involved in processes such as embryonic development, wound healing, and immune responses.
