Langmuir-Blodgett membrane

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006437

A type of ultrathin membrane formed by transferring one or more monolayers of amphiphilic molecules from a liquid surface onto a solid substrate. These membranes offer precise control over thickness and molecular orientation, allowing for the creation of highly ordered structures. They are used in applications such as sensors and molecular electronics.
