Late phase reaction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006471
A delayed inflammatory response that follows an immediate hypersensitivity reaction, typically occurring 4 to 24 hours after exposure to an allergen. This reaction involves the recruitment of inflammatory cells, such as eosinophils and neutrophils, to the site of exposure. It can lead to prolonged symptoms, such as asthma or eczema, even after the initial allergen has been cleared.
