Memristor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007172
A passive two-terminal electrical component that relates electric charge and magnetic flux linkage, exhibiting a resistance that depends on the history of the current that has flowed through it. Its resistance is non-volatile, meaning it retains its state even when power is removed. This device is considered the fourth fundamental passive circuit element, alongside the resistor, capacitor, and inductor.
