Metal-carbyne complexes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007252
Coordination compounds characterized by a metal-carbon triple bond, where the carbon atom is typically bonded to one other group. These complexes are highly reactive and serve as intermediates in catalytic reactions involving the transformation of alkynes. They are analogous to carbene complexes but with a higher bond order between the metal and carbon.
