Metallacycloalkanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007254
Cyclic organometallic compounds where one or more carbon atoms in a cycloalkane ring are formally replaced by a metal atom. These compounds contain at least one metal-carbon sigma bond within the ring structure. They are intermediates in many catalytic reactions, such as olefin metathesis and polymerization, and their stability depends on the metal and ring size.
