Nuclear type II receptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008123
A class of intracellular receptors that bind to non-steroidal ligands, including thyroid hormones, retinoids, and vitamin D. These receptors reside in the cell nucleus, where they are typically bound to DNA even in the absence of their ligand. Ligand binding induces a conformational change that modulates gene transcription.
