Optically active polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008283
A polymer that possesses the ability to rotate the plane of plane-polarized light, due to the presence of chiral centers or a helical conformation in its molecular structure. This property is a consequence of the polymer's inherent chirality. Optically active polymers find applications in chiral separations and advanced optical materials.
