Partially draining
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008498
A description of the hydrodynamic interaction between a polymer coil and the surrounding solvent, where the solvent can flow through the coil to a limited extent. This condition implies that the polymer segments offer some resistance to solvent flow, but not complete obstruction. It represents an intermediate state between freely draining and non-draining behavior, influencing the polymer's intrinsic viscosity.
