Particle monolayer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008506
A single layer of particles adsorbed or deposited at an interface, such as a liquid-air or liquid-liquid interface. These layers can form spontaneously due to interfacial energy minimization or be engineered through controlled deposition techniques. Particle monolayers are studied for their applications in surface science, colloid chemistry, and the fabrication of advanced materials.
