Monolayer capacity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007551

The maximum amount of adsorbate that can form a complete monolayer on the surface of an adsorbent. This value is typically determined from adsorption isotherms, such as the Langmuir or Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) isotherms. It is expressed in units of moles or mass of adsorbate per unit mass of adsorbent.
