Phosphinous acids
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013387
Compounds of the form R2P-OH, derived from the parent H2POH, in which a trivalent phosphorus atom carries two organic groups and one hydroxyl group. They are the minor tautomer of secondary phosphine oxides, R2P(=O)H, and the equilibrium lies far toward the oxide, which is the form normally isolated.
