Plateau border
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009032
The region where three or more soap films or foam lamellae meet, forming a channel filled with liquid. These channels are characterized by a concave curvature due to surface tension, which creates a lower pressure inside the border compared to the surrounding films. The geometry of these borders is governed by Plateau's laws.
