Foam

A dispersion of gas bubbles in a liquid or solid medium, where the gas phase is dispersed and the liquid or solid phase is continuous. Foams are characterized by a high gas volume fraction and thin liquid films separating the gas bubbles. Examples include soap suds and polyurethane foam.
