Sublation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011517

A separation technique where a solute is adsorbed onto the surface of gas bubbles rising through a liquid, and then collected at the liquid surface. This method is particularly effective for separating surface-active substances or those that can be made surface-active by the addition of a surfactant. It is a type of foam fractionation or flotation process.
