Polarized interphases
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009082
Interfaces between two conducting phases where the potential difference across the interface is controlled externally and does not depend on the charge transfer reactions occurring at the interface. This condition implies that the rate of charge transfer across the interface is negligible compared to the rate of charge accumulation. Such interphases are often studied in electrochemistry to understand double-layer properties.
