Planar intramolecular charge transfer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008998
A type of intramolecular charge transfer where the donor and acceptor moieties are coplanar, allowing for efficient electronic communication between them. This geometric arrangement facilitates the delocalization of electrons across the molecule upon excitation. Such systems are often studied for their photophysical properties, including fluorescence and phosphorescence.
