Polymer cyclization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009168
A chemical reaction in which a linear polymer chain or a segment of a polymer chain forms a cyclic structure. This process can occur intramolecularly, where a single chain reacts with itself, or intermolecularly, involving reactions between different chains. Polymer cyclization can alter the physical properties of the polymer, such as its solubility and thermal stability.
