Precipitation polyaddition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009351

A type of polyaddition polymerization where the polymer formed is insoluble in the reaction medium and precipitates out as it is produced. This process allows for the easy separation of the polymer product from the reaction mixture. It is often used to synthesize high molecular weight polymers that are difficult to process in solution.
